Reaching out to our community
As a church, we believe that love is the foundation of all things and Jesus Christ demonstrated this love by giving His life for our redemption. The church seizes the opportunity to extend love to city residents by distributing free hampers. This has in no small measure reduced hardship and loneliness at this time of the year. FLOJ commenced in 2005 and the feedback from the residents of Coventry has been overwhelmingly impressive.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. Coventry Foodbank provides a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis. At present, there are 17 distribution centres in Coventry with at least one open every day in order to ensure access to food. We are open on Tuesdays from 2 to 4pm. Since Coventry foodbank opened its doors in 2011, we have fed over 53,000 people with almost half of them being children.

All the food is donated by the public and sorted by volunteers. Front line care professionals such as advice agencies and social workers identify people in crisis and issue food vouchers. At the centres, clients receive three days worth of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food in exchange for their vouchers. In addition, our centre also provides on-date supermarket surplus food whenever available. We also make time to chat and to signpost clients to other helpful services such as clothes bank, job clubs and restart project. At our foodbank, we help prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems as it's part of our vision to build generations with Godly character, raise rulers and market talents.
Love Nursery is a nursery for children from 2 to 5 years of age. We offer full and part time care, and our staffs are fully qualified (all DBS checked). Additionally, we provides nutritious meals prepared on site.
We are registered to receive government funding for 2 to 4 years old.
* Accept childcare vouchers.
* We offer 15 hours free childcare for 2 year olds (subject to meeting required criteria).
* We offer 15 hours free childcare for all 3 and 4 year olds.

As a church, we celebrate excellence and hardwork. We celebrate young people who graduate with distinction by rewarding them a sum of 500 Pounds. We also appreciate other achievements and outstanding results. We do this to encourage our members to constantly strive for greatness and show forth the Glory of our God.
Praise week is an annual musical festival that creates a platform for God's intervention in people's lives through thanksgiving, praise, prayer and causing joy in the city. Holds 15th to 22nd July.
The power of prayer is ever prevailing.This event is specially organised for people going through difficult situations that require immediate spiritual intervention. My Case is Urgent holds on the last 3 days in March, June, September and December.
This an open mic event open to the community. It serves as a platform to showcase talents.
Royal Indulgence is an annual valentine ball that takes place in February. It is a black tie event created to bring people together with love. An event filled with love and laughter; entertainment, music, food and many more.
The ReStart project is the new initiatives introduced by Coventry foodbank and Coventry Citizens Advice Bureaux. This project aims to provide advice services to the members of the public and the clients of foodbank within Coventry on the issues of sanctions, low income, debt, benefit, bedroom tax, budgeting and more.
